Welcome to the web site of the Sector for Social Partnership of the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy, Croatia. The Sector is the successor of the former Government Office for Social Partnership, established by the Governmental Act on the 13th of September 2001.

Promotion of social dialogue and strengthening the social partnership is of special interest for the Republic of Croatia as a way to achieve successful implementation of economic, social and legislation reforms for the benefit of all the Croatian citizens. The mission of the Sector for Social Partnership is to encourage development of long term vision of Croatian model of social partnership between trade unions, employers and Government representatives with administrative support provided by the Sector.

The Sector for Social Partnership has been recognized as logistic and expert back-up for the institutional and other forms of social dialogue, as well as an intermediary in development and implementation of mediation in collective and individual labour disputes. The Sector for Social Partnership supports wide range of activities for advancement of communication between responsible central & local government institutions, social partners, non-governmental and international organizations with the aim to achieve their joint and efficient effects in the field of labour, social and economic policy. Social partnership has proven to be the stabilizer of social relationships, model of consultation, information and opinion sharing and the key toward wider social consensus on all the relevant issues.

The Sector for Social Partnership works to create positive environment for development of Croatian model of social partnership on local, regional and national level with a view to actively engage social partners to influence policy design but also to encourage all the stakeholders to get involved.
